该曲为歌曲《月光爱人》的英文版，是电影巨制《卧虎藏龙》的主题曲。《卧虎藏龙》没有一般武侠片那种笑傲江湖的豪气，取而代之的是寻找江湖人文内涵的一种深沉思索与含蓄。影片直逼了中国传统文化中极其深刻的一点：即对个体的人的压抑和约束，同时展示了这种东方社会规范的强力作用和存在必要、以及他与人性的矛盾碰撞和最终的悲剧调和。
