Zhou Libo will become the first-ever Chinese stand-up comedian to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Well-known for his Shanghai Style Small Talk, the 48-year-old comedian is set to bring his show "Sing our generation's songs, tell my own jokes" to the world-renowned venue.
Zhou says it's a great honor for him to perform in New York City, and he believes "New York and Shanghai are very similar cities with beautiful skylines and wonderful people."
The comedian first shot to fame in 2006, with his unique comedic style that is delivered in a linguistic mixture of Mandarin Chinese, Shanghai dialect, and some English words and phrases.
He has named his style "Shanghai Style Small Talk," and it has won a considerable fan base among Chinese audiences.
Zhou also created "Mr. Zhou Live Show," which is considered by some as the first television comedic talk show in China.
