home

可以指具体的概念，如一座house（房子），或者一间apartment（公寓）；但也可以指抽象的概念，如 I need a home. 这里的home是指一个家庭，而非一个住所。

hometown故乡

例：Foshan is my hometown. I was born and raised here.佛山是我的故乡。我生于斯，长于斯。

homesick患思乡病的

例：I am homesick. I miss my family.我患思乡病了。我想念我的家庭。

homeless无家可归的

例：He sleeps on the streets. He is homeless.他睡在街上。他无家可归。

谚语：East or west, home is best.金窝银窝，不如自己的狗窝。

Home sweet home.回到甜蜜的家！

Make yourself at home.把这里当成自己的家。

house

house 多指一种住所的名称。

on the house免费

例：Coffee is on the house.咖啡免费。

house specialty招牌菜

例：Barbecue beef is the house specialty in our restaurant.烧烤牛肉是我们餐馆的招牌菜。
