身为摩托特技演员的约翰尼·布雷兹(尼古拉斯·凯奇)自幼就对摩托车有着莫名喜爱。然而，长大后约翰尼虽沉浸在摩托车特技表演的快乐中，却也时常因老父亲对其职业的厌烦而苦恼。尤其是当父亲病重之后，他对摩托车运动的喜爱更是在无奈之下刻意地压抑着。
