Hu said the 17th CPC National Congress, which closed Sunday, was "a resounding success." The newly elected members of the Politburo's Standing Committee of the 17th CPC Central Committee are Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang and Zhou Yongkang.
