Internet, a token of modernized society, is becoming a portion of mankind's life at a soaring rate, and is playing an important role in our industrialized social context. The network resources comprise the network facilities and network information. The former provides us with the ability of complicated computation and telecommunication while the latter provides us with rich categories and large amount of data for downloading or skimming.
    The noticeable functions of internet make us advocate the standpoint that nobody could actually assess its impacts on human life. Internet has exhibited us kinds of cultures, and enlarges our horizon and enrichs our life. Meantime activities among Interner users shorten the connection of people worldwide. One could skim news, bulletins, posters and banner advertising on the internet at home. Applicants could fill in files systematically and register without presence. One could bid welfare to friends with electronic postcard through e-mail,costing no postage. Businessmen could conduct payments of imports and exports at minimum cost. Engineers could draw graphs or charts. Students could select their favorite tutors and policemen could refer to the feedback of penalties.
    Whereas it has advantages, when illegal activies through websites discount their value, the internet becomes a combination of both an angel and a devil. For example, the commission of a company could call remote video councils among the personnel in different places. On the contrary, there are hostile backers who steal business documents. In addition, gambling online might trouble victms with great debts. Cops have verified that convicts by usage of internet have been liable to be a widespread social problem which is hard to get rid of.
    Therefore, internet is like a double-edged sword. Only provided the government shields on behalf of the public,enforces ralatve policies and legislations, supervises the admission of net information ,and bans the rubbish websites, can we make full use of Internet.
