The  temperature  of  an  area  depends  on  the  time  and  the  strength  of  the  sunlight.  The  earth  is  round,  so  the  sunlight  hits  different  areas  at  different  angies.  The  earth's  temperature  is  higher  at  the  equator  and  lower  at  the  poies.
Libya  is  the  fourth  largest  country  in  Africa  and  it  is  close  to  the  equator.  In  Tripoli,  the  capital  of  Libya,  the  average  high  temperature  is  30℃  in  summer  and  the   average  low  temperature  is  8℃  in  winter
But  the  highest   temperature  on  earth  was  in   libya  on  September  13,  1922.  It  was  58℃.  However,  the  highest  temperature  in  the  South  Pole  was   on  December  27,  1978,   which  was  ﹣14℃.
