"For Israel, the most important thing is that we shouldn't have to revisit this sort of crisis in half a year or a year. We could make sure that the peace is sustainable and lasting. And for us it's crucial that Hamas should not be allowed to rearm, that they can't replenish their stocks of rockets and start digging their tunnels again. And so we'll be putting first as urgent preventing Hamas from rearming and ultimately the Palestinians have a written commitment that Gaza should be demilitarized.
