Both the Thinker and the Kiss are close to the reality of flesh and blood. We instinctively don't wish to call them statues.The Kiss ended as a big sculpture.The perfection of the marble carving did not stop as from imagining we are in the presence of living people.The young woman is especially vital.As a matter of fact,we know who she was: a girl  in Paris called Carmen who made her living as a model and was still alive as lately as 1950.
