China's Ministry of Transport says all bus tickets will be available for purchase online by the end of 2016.

A national online ticketing system is to be set up, through which passengers can book bus tickets, similar to booking a train ticket on the website www.12306.cn.

The ministry says passengers have to book a bus ticket with their real names.

The ticketing system will be available in 27 provinces by the end of this year.
