yes~of course, there're many differences. 
 
for example:  fast / past / last / master  
in british english, it's pronounced as /a:/ , 
but in american english, it's pronouced as /e/. 
 
and :   new / news / newspaper / tuna 
in british english, it's pronounced as /ju:/ , 
but in american english, it's pronouced as /u:/. 
 
...... 
i think the american say it with more nasal sound. 
do you think so?
